Is there a way to display only the main post of the topic and none of the replies on a topic page? I have a page where the main post has to be separated from the replies, but I can’t seem to find a way to call just the main post.

This is very close…

… but still doesn’t answer the specific question of whether or not there is a “display” or “read” setting or some such to only display TITLES not CONTENTS of the post whenever a category is clicked on in the widget bar.
