    Hi there,
There is a setting in “Settings | Discussion”, Whereby you can set the amount of links a forum user can insert in the forum post:
“Hold a comment in the queue if it contains n or more links”.
I had set it to 2. I also have the plugin: “Image Upload for BBPress” installed, to enable users to upload images.
Unfortunately, when a user adds now e.g. 2 or more images, the post gets held for moderation. The same happens if the user enters one image and one hyperlink.
This is not the desired effect.
Can I report this as a bug plz?
    kind regards
    Daniel

hmmm… nor sure how a computer can recognise the difference between an image and a link

Yes, I know this sounds strange, but I have tested it.

For setting “Hold a comment in the queue if it contains 2 or more links”:

tried doing 2 hyperlinks: got moderation reply
tried doing 2 images + 1 hyperlink: got moderation reply
tried doing 1 hyperlink no problem
tried doing 1 hyperlink + 1 image: got moderation reply
tried doing 2 images got moderation reply

    Set it to 0 links
no problem posting regardless of link/image.

Technically, an image is a link so that would count as a hyperlink.

This is a legitimate problem because bbPress inherited the discussion settings from WordPress in bbPress 2.6.0. I created a ticket to perhaps create separate forum moderation settings, which would address this. See https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3352.

A workaround is to bump the link limit to a higher number or use some code to bypass moderation.
