Layout change 2 or 3 columns instead of 1 columns

    This picture is bbpress +bbPress Topic Thumbnails plugin. I used css to remove “replies and freshness column”
    I would like to know If I can move second and third content to first row. And 4,5,6 contents to second row.

    Looks like this

    Current layout is
    Content 1
    Content 2
    Content 3
    Content 4
    Content 5
    Content 6

    But how can I change to

    Content 1, Content 2, Content 3
    Content 4, Content 5, Content 6

    I would like to know if there is solution adding on CSS or function.php

    Beyond free help, but start with

    templates/default/bbpress/loop-forums.php and loop-single-forum.php
