Closed topics keep getting reopened and replied to

    Sometimes we close topics because we don’t want people to continue replying. We’ve had repeated issues where someone replies to a topic that we had previously closed. Then we notice that it’s not longer closed. We’re not sure if the topics are getting reopened first somehow or if people are finding a way to post to closed topics and that causes them to reopen. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Any ideas what might allow it to happen or how to prevent it?

    Here’s an example topic that was closed and somehow got reopened and replied to.

    It is possible that someone from the moderators again opens the topic that was closed.

    Anything is possible but there are only 4 moderators. They all sit next to each other and they are all aware of and extremely annoyed by this problem. I’m confident none of them are intentionally reopening closed topics.
