    Hi,

I went to create new reply, changed my mind and went back to view topic, the next time I went back to replies I get

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at [no address given] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I am the server admin but I have no Idea what to do, I am running ubuntu. everything else appears to be working, I have tried rebooting the server. Any help would be appreciated.

    Extra info…

I get this error if I try to go into all replies, I have one draft if I try to access that I get the error so it would seem the error is with the create reply that I abandoned. If I go into the post table and delete it will that cause me more problems ?

    I would go into

dashboard>tolls>forums>repair forums> and run these one at a time. The first one may well fix it

ok, I’d delete the post and post meta for the reply, you may need to then run the repairs

    Hi Robin,
I am not sure which record to delete, in my posts table for yesterdays date I have about 20 records that contain the “oembed_cache” I asked about in a previous topic. I have looked at the meta post table and that now has about 1000 extra records that I think came from the repair forums tool.

    Hi Robin,

I have been through that but no luck, I have checked with my host and they say there are no errors showing on the server.
I am very worried about the posts with a post_name of “oembed_cache….” and a post_content “{{unknown}}” I have loads of them and I have looked at an older database (Nov 2018) and I cannot find any. I did raise a topic about this a few days before I had this problem.
I would ask if I have been hacked but the website appears to be working normally.

so you only get this error if you go into what exactly?

eg ‘I go to fourms, select a forum and…..’

    Hi Robin,

My host has changed the PHP handler to “FPM application server by nginx” and not I am getting 404 errors when a visitor goes into a topic or reply. I have asked them to undo the change.

I get the internal error when I go into dashboard – then click on replies or all replies.

so with host change undone, you only have problem in backend – yes ?

yes, the site seems to be working front end OK, but back end if I click in dashboard nothing is happening now if I click in themes I get the dashboard but when I click on replies or all replies I get a blank list but the next page shows the posts and if I click on drafts I get nothing only the titles. I cannot down load screen sots to show you what I mean.

Yes I do, that is how I know there are lots of records with a post_name of “oembed_cache….” and a post_content “{{unknown}}”
