Search not working on new install

Just installed bbPress on latest version of WordPress and the forum search feature does not work. When I do a search, it searches blog posts instead – actually only ever finds one blog post even if the search text does not exist. It does not search the forum.

Whats going on?

bbPress is tested with wordpress default themes. It maybe a conflict – you need to check plugins and themes

It could be a theme or plugin issue

Plugins

Deactivate all but bbpress and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

Themes

If plugins don’t pinpoint the problem, as a test switch to a default theme such as twentyfifteen, and see if this fixes.

Thanks, but this did not work.

I disabled all plugins except bbPress, as well as switching to the twentyfifteen theme.

There is nothing else that will cause conflict.

If I type anything in the search criteria, I’m always returned the same blog post even if the search does not match. The URL I am shown is http://xxxxxxx/forums/search/test/
But the result is a single blog page and not any forum posts.

Any help would be appreciated.
