Can’t tag usernames in Forum

When I type a reply, or a new topic in the forum, and I try typing the “@” symbol, it doesn’t bring up the list of members like it does in BuddyPress. Am I not able to mention specific usernames/members in the forum?

Lets reopen this topic please. I have the @username located below each members participant rank.

I however can not tag or call the @username in the reply area or comment area – no link goes to the user profile.

Any ideas?

By the way I am using BBpress only (not buddypress) I just need my forum to be able to call @username linking back to profile. The original topic question is a bit different.

In buddypress the list displayed is the list of friends.

If you are only using bbPress (so no BuddyPress) then maybe my bbP Toolkit plugin could help. It has a basic mention system.

The best way that I find to my forum is install the “BuddyPress” plugin together with “bbp style pack” plugin.
