How do I change the permalinks?

    So new forums go to mysite.com/forum/forums/forum, how do I change it so its just mysite.com/forum?

    I think I did this before, but I had to reset my website and want to do it again. When I go to change the permalink I can only change the forum at the end and the /forum/forums/ bit is un-editable. Thanks in advance.

    dashboard>settings>forums look for forum root slug heading and untick Prefix all forum content with the Forum Root slug
