Topics and replies are always pending

Hi there, when a post or reply is made it is always set as pending.

I’ve seen quiet a few threads posting about this problem going back years, but it doesn’t look like it’s ever been resolved.

I have also run Remapping forum role for each user, without any joy.

Also, I have changed the theme to 2014, and deactivated all other plugins.

How can I enable people to post on the forum with out the need for manual review?

Also what setting do you have in WordPress discussion settings for:

Before a comment appears Before a comment appears Comment must be manually approved

I think that is most likely the culprit, what happens if you uncheck that?
