Show child forums of Category w/ Recent Topics Widget?

    I see that you can select a parent forum id in the recent topics widget, but it doesnt work on categories. I got multiple forums under a Category that I would like show with the recent topics widget but it appears you can only display a single forum. I even changed the parent category into a forum and it still wont show the child forums/topics.

    Is there any way to do this?

    Do you know of any other widgets that can this? Surely I’m not the only one who wants this..

    Agree it would be useful, and could be coded, but there are many calls on the developers time (I’m not a developer).
