trying to create a website that uses topics as launching points but replies to that topic can branch out into it’s own discussion thread.
any direction is appreciated thanks!

Don’t think bbPress is designed to work that way.

I spoke with someone who suggested using bbPress since it’s a custom post type and writing a custom WP_QUERY.
