Forum search results missing tags

    @thebobajob

    I have searched and searched but cannot find an answer to my problem.

    My forum has the Forum search on the sidebar which successfully finds something when I do a search but the output of the results is missing all the tags that are created in loop-single-forum.php

    Something must be stripping them out. I don’t know what and I don’t know why but I need them back in to style the output.

    Can anybody help?
    Thanks

  • The ‘topic tags’ that see when viewing a topic (e.g. this post) you will not see the topic tags actually included in the search results by default, this is not something yet implemented in bbPress’ search results.

    Hi, but it’s everything I just get one long output in a <p> tag

    e.g.

    loop-single-forum.php has tags in it? This is where the content is coming from isn’t it? It seems to be.

    If bbPress has a search function as a widget (which is what I am using) but no way of outputting it what is the point? Sorry if I am being dim, I’m new to bbPress.

    Sorry I thought you were meaning topic tags (this topic is tagged ‘output’, ‘results’ & ‘search’)

    You will most likely find your issue is related to your theme, what happens if you switch to Twenty Ten or Twenty Eleven?

    It may also be a plugin conflict, try disabling all your other plugsins and see if the issue is resolved.

    Thanks, I’ll investigate those things.

    Thanks for your help. It appears to be theme based but I’ve no idea what is doing it. More investigation needed…

    Regards
