Trashing Post – Moderator gets 404 Error – Key Master does not

Was previously using 2.4.1, upgraded to 2.3RC1 (issue was happening in both versions).

All Plugin’s are disabled except for bbpress.

When a new forum post is posted, when a Keymaster level user “Trashes” the post, the post get’s removed and shows up Red.

If that same user is changed to a Moderator level and “Trashes” a post, the post get’s removed but then displays a 404 – Error (forums/topic/welcome/?view=all).

I’ve tried resetting Permalinks, etc., however this does not fix it.

This is by design in that when a topic/reply is sent to the ‘trash’ that is where it is sent, it is not permanently deleted and only ‘Keymaster’ can permanently delete items from the trash.

Huh. This looks like a bug to me. Moderators should still have access to view a trashed topic, just like they can see trashed replies in the topic itself.

I’ll have this fixed in 2.3.1.
