    @ovizii

I installed bbpress plugin 2.2.4, ran into some problems, decided I need to use 2.3 RC1 for importing from SimplePress v5, deactivated, reactivated, upgraded and now after activating bbpress I don ‘t see its menu links in the dashboard: http://screencast.com/t/imvEYtBphzRr and when I access the plugins list and click on settings there: http://screencast.com/t/n2I44tThv4tJ  I get: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

My user is a keymaster. I made another user a keymaster and faced the same problem.

Any hints on how to completely remove it and start fresh? I tried searching for %bbpress% with Phpmyadmin but cannot find any settings so what is wrong here?

Solved by using User Role Editor to reset all wordpress user roles to their default.

Can you more clearly explain what you did? Getting this bug, un-installed and re-installed.

    Thanks,

I installed this plugin: User Role Editor
then went to Users => User Role Editor and click on reset.

I tried this fix and it resolved everything (and a good thing too, as I found out my forums had been set upon by spammers in my absence). Thanks!

Did you update any other plugin recently?

You could try to disable the others plugin to check any conflicts between plugins.

I am having this exact same issue. On my other site, I could still see the settings page and just reset my users via bbpress, and that solved the issue.

On this site, I can’t see the reset page. I tried installed reset users plugin but I am afraid to actually use it because this is a woocommerce site and I don’t want to lose customer info.

Is there a way of directly editing the database so I could re-enable my keymasters? Both admins are listed as keymasters, but have no access whatsoever to bbpress.

I am Having the exact same problem.

Tried de-activating other plugins, completely removed bbpress then re-install, and still not given permission to do anything even though am admin and role of keymaster.

Cannot access anything, even the about page!

    Use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/

Then activate and also get BBpres active

Next, reset all roles on Users>User Role Editor

    It worked for me

    Hello,

Here’s the solution for this issue:
    Link: http://www.dailysdigest.com/wordpress/fix-sufficient-permissions-access-page-error-wordpress/

The 3rd Solution worked for me based on my experience. Cheers!
