We’re actively using the Subscribe to Forums functionality introduced in 2.5 – but we’d like to run a script or similar to subscribe all existing users to one or two specific forums. They can then obviously opt out if they like.

Is there any easy way to do this?

There’s no easy way to do this currently and I’m also not entirely sure that subscribing users to forums, topics or replies automatically should be something we should offer. I believe that if users want to subscribe to something then they should subscribe themselves.

Do you have a specific use case that would make this a valid option?
(I can’t really think of one at the moment and this sounds spammy to me)
