When you view a post, I want to remove the (1 post) (1 voice) text bits from the top of the page next to the heading.

Any ideas how to do this please?

Look in your template files for calls to bb_topic_voices and bb_get_topic_voices and remove them.

but where to look for it, I have crossed over and I have not found anything anywhere but there are a lot of files.

the templates are in

\templates\default\bbpress

the files are exactly the same: loop-single-topic.php and loop-topics.php

This, however, does not solve the nice view of the page to the class is moving to the middle. Medium solution – it’s very hard to work with bbpres
