How to make a topic unable to be commented/replied to but not gray out the text?

    The title says it all; is there a way to make a topic sticky’d and unable to be replied to or commented on without closing it and subsequently graying out the text?

    Drop the following into your theme’s css

    #bbpress-forums .status-closed, #bbpress-forums .status-closed a {color: #000 !important;}
