How can I get the topic / post count for subforums?

At the moment the totals shown are for the forum itself but do not include topics and posts in the sub forums within that forum.

So for example:

Parent Cat or Forum

_ Sub Forum 1

_ Sub Forum 2

If I have 20 topics in sub forum 1 and no topics in the parent forum it will currently show 0 for the parent forum, but I want to show the total of the parent and all sub forums.

Yeah, bbPress doesn’t actually have any parent child functionality, so this isn’t really possible. You could write some custom code to keep a counter somewhere, but it’s more than a pain really.

I’m workingon a plugin that deals with this, but it uses part of the bbProgress framework, and there are some issues to work around before separating it entirely.
