Turns any number of forums into support forums, where users can mark topics as resolved, not resolved or not a support question.

It is possible to add icons to support topics, as well as to closed and sticky ones. A default set of 6 icons (1 per status + 1 "not resolved" alternative icon) is included.

A view for each of the support statuses may also be generated.

Based of so1o, mdawaffe and SamBauers' Support Forum plugin.

bbPress 1.0 fully compatible!

Since version 0.2, you may also import settings from Support Forum plugin, if you have it installed.

  1. What is changed between the original and this new one?

@r-a-y: this version is 1.0 fully compatible, overall faster, uses less queries and has a nicer configuration page. :) Some of the backbone functions have changed too.

Maybe you could have just contacted Sam to add you to the contributors list as I did or Plugin Browser. By the way, Otto did some changes to the original Support Forum plugin.

Is it possible to upgrade from the older plugin "support-forum" to the newer "support-forums" without losing all the statuses that have already been set?

@Tomcraft1980: no, topic meta is stored in a different way and I've never thought of an importer, I' sorry...

mhhhhh... how much time would it take to implement such an importer? Can I hire you for that?

@Tomcraft1980: I'd have to re-install the old plugin and take a closer look at how it stores data, but I don't think this would take much time.

Regarding being "hired", honestly I've never thought about it before! =) A good idea would be to open a topic asking how many people are interested in such a feature.

Thx for the new version! No need anymore to use the older "support forum" plugin as this one can now import the settings. ;-)

    Great job!

    THX!

  15. With bbPress 1.0.2 I'm getting an fatal error when trying to activate the Support Forums 0.2 plugin:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bb_get_plugin_uri() in /home/eatmorec/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/support-forums/support-forums.php on line 23

@nikstanbridge: that makes no sense, bb_get_plugin_uri() is a bbPress core function! o_0"

  17. Resolved the issue... plugin has to be on the bbPress plugins folder and not the WP plugins folder...
