  2. I'm really enjoying using this plugin. However I do notice that it is not recognizing my local version in the column which will make upgrading harder. I did some searching around for a fix for this but the ones that i did find were old and don't work anymore. Is this another case of including a missing function? thanks for the help!

  4. I have fixed the plugin to make it compatible with bbPress 1.0 & up

    You can download it here:

  5. I'm running bbPress 1.0 and Plugin Browser 0.1.2. I've noticed with this installation that after each plugin I install via PB, when I go back to install another, the fetched plugin list is empty.

I'm unable to access the plugin list until these two numbers -- Plugin list r. 2430 - ( Latest r. 2430 ) -- are different and I see the "Fetch the latest list of plugins" button. Is there some way to force an update, since that seems to be the only way I can install each new plugin via PB with this particular installation?

Brilliant plugin, by the way. I'm using it on another site as well and it makes managing the plugins so much easier.

  6. v0.2 released! Changes:
    * Compatibility with bbPress 1.0. If you are using an older version of bbPress, then please do not upgrade
    * Usage of WP_Http instead of cURL or fopen
    * Automatically gets the new repository list if available (when you go to the plugin browser page)
    * The directory folder of a plugin now need not have pb-- in its name, nor a pb--revision.php (which means that now the plugins are checked with their version numbers)
    * Added i18n support
    * Coding cleanups (including WordPress style coding), optimizations and improvements

  9. I upgraded and the local version of my plugins are no longer showing up. I really like this feature to know when an upgrade is available. The plugins in the my-plugins folder do not have the pb-- prefix and the permissions on the folder are:
    drwxr-xr-x 24 user group 4096 2010-03-26 08:21 my-plugins
Any ideas for why this is happening?

Which bbPress version are you using? The latest version only works with bbPress 1.0

Local versions will only be shown for the plugins that are there on your server (in the my-plugins directory). Also please check if versions are being shown on your "plugins" page as the plugin browser uses the same method to get the local plugin list.

Try going to this url - YOURFORUM.TLD/bb-admin/admin-base.php?plugin=plugin_browser_admin_page&force_update=1
If the problem still persists, then please tell me.

The versions are showing up on the plugins page and the force update did not help. I also tried to install a new plugin through the plugin browser and it gave me an error line 297 (retrieve and install plugin) that it could not mkdir File already exists.

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in my-plugins/plugin-browser-for-bbpress/plugin-browser.php on line 297

  16. one thing (or is it two? :) ) I would like to see added is some dates. For example the date the plugin was released and possibly the date last updated. The reason for the release date request is that it will give a clear view as to how old the plugin is and whether ot not it has a chance of working with a newer version of bbpress. The updated date is really just a cosmetic bonus that would let us see at a glance when a plugin was updated last .. this way we can see if there is active work happening around it and is probably worth investing the time to use the plugin.

That's not much of a task, I will add that in the next release :)
