This is such a great plugin! Thanks Nightgunner5 for making this!
Best of all - it works! Gauranteed!
I was logged in as admin (and refreshing the same page again and again), and it blocked my IP :-s
The plugin should not function if the user is logged in and the user is moderator+
Gautam Gupta: PHP4BB blocks not only spam registrations but also harvesters, which don't need to log in to see what they want - email addresses.
If you get blocked, you can click the link that says "listed on Project Honey Pot" and whitelist yourself. The only two reasons this plugin would block you randomly would be a virus on your computer being caught in action by a honey pot, or your dynamic IP address changing to one that was previously spamming.
There's no way to allow mod+ in and keep everyone else out because the plugin does its work before the functions to get the current user's role are loaded, and the login page is blocked too.
hmm..
I think bb_is_trusted_user() function can be used. It can be found here - http://trac.bbpress.org/browser/tags/1.0.2/bb-includes/functions.bb-users.php#L83
Gautam Gupta: The thing is that this plugin will only block someone if you have your settings messed up or if your IP address is actually a spam server/harvester/comment spammer/etc.
The entire forum gets blocked, including the login page. If you weren't blocked and then you became blocked, your IP address probably changed to one that was used by a spammer, or you could have a virus.
Can this be used with v0.9?
the description does not say what the plugin does.
Edit - I see it now. but it was not very clear.
