I love this plugin but I have two issues that I need help with......
The first is I would like to know how to fix the way the permalink is displayed - I have pretty permalinks enabled in my Forum but on my home page where the links are shown it shows them as /topic.php?id=117
ALSO it displays the table with ALL rows tagged with class=”alt” - is there a way to alternate this so every other row is class=”alt” so I can use it for styling alternate rows?

@hobbsy - if you haven't already, download the latest version (0.9.1) as it fixes both the permalink issue and the alternating row issue.....
Version 1.0 already out there both at bbpress.org and wordpress.org. All change can be view at here...

Thanks for this Plugin. Since bbPress Live seemed to have stopped working for now, this is a great alternative and easier customizable to boot.
Thanks SO much Atsutane - your most current version as of today (1.0.1) fixes all the issues I had including the problem of the last poster name not showing up if not moderator or admin.......all is perfect now! thanks for work! Really waited a long time for this.
After updating 1.02 to 1.03 I have no longer any discussions :-( I used the function for the sidebar. The more German specialcharacters like äöüÄÖÜß are not displayed correctly.

Sorry, I didn't realize that I have to restore default settings first. But the special characters problem is still there.

There is a way to do that... but do u mean u wan to make a list of hot topic or just want to show it.

There is no problem with the plugin. It just read all the database that has been store for them. If your bbpress db is not using utf8 but your wordpress is set to read all char in utf8 charset. Then it will not show correctly. Please check ur bbpress db.
If it not using utf8 please remove define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8'); and define('DB_COLLATE', ''); from your wp-config.php. Then it will show nicely

I'm surprised. The plugin worked perfect and since the new update (1.1) my links are wrong
I use permalinks in BBpress and all the listed topics in WP have now the same URL without topic URL informations
it's : http://www.mywebsite.com/forum/topic/ instead of http://www.mywebsite.com/forum/topic/title-of-the-topic
I tried to restore default settings, erase folder, replace folder but nothing works :(

Sorry for late reply. It seem when i re-structured back the permalink option. I forgot to change certain variable. Well it should be working now.

This plugin gets better and better but I think it will be much more usable if it provides a link to the last reply on a topic instead only to the topic itself.
%BBLD_TOPIC% - leads to the topic, but why not have %BBLD_LAST_POST%
It's on the way inside 1.3.3 with some fix for 1.3.2 :) I change the existing url into latest post url. So no need to change the template
