When you're developing the next big thing, sometimes you need a forum full of gibberish. bbIpsum does just that.

This plugin is primarily useful for plugin and theme developers who need a forum with posts in it but don't want to spend time doing it themselves.

You can choose between Lorem Ipsum, asdfjkl, Aroodles, and Pikachu style gibberish. Then you can select the number of users, posts, and topics to add to your forum. After that, it's as simple as clicking a button.

If you decide later that you want to remove the gibberish from your forum, this plugin can also do that.

  1. This is great, I was planning on writing something for my own testing purposes.

Only thing I was going to put in mine differently than this was an option to produce consistent content instead of completely random. This would be used to test performance across different installs.

You could in theory add a "consistent" option by changing the random code sections to go through a function instead and feed it a specific sequence of numbers based on say a md5 from a sentence you type in.

Hi again! I found out that your plugin does not post in sub-forums while it does post in Category forums. Are you aware of that? I would not consider that as a minus, I just wanted you to know that.

  5. mr_pelle: Thanks! It posts in sub-forums for me, but I just fixed the categories problem in the latest development version.
