@Prause: Hi, have you got any error? What browser are you using?
Regards
GF
I have got no error. I simply installed the plugin and activated it.
I use Opera and Firefox and IE. All the same.
Same issue for me. Installed successfully and nothing appears different.
Hi Gio,
will you try to look at the problem?
Do you need some additional details?
Ciao
hi
plugin work ok. first time does't work because I install this in bb-plugins directory, after I instal plugin in my-plugins directory - evrything work corectly - thanks!
Hi !
It does not work for me.
It's instal in the my-plugins directory.
I see this sentence in the bottom of the textearea but those are not button, they are just labels."Balises autorisées : a blockquote code em strong ul ol li img b span div p i u s strike center cite sub sup hr h1 h2 h3 h4 h5 h6. "
I use the last version of BBPress (first instal 2 days ago) Don't understand ... any idea ?
This Plugin use a Javascript "inject" simple Editor. It work with last bbPress version.
The only required is the name of textarea: post_content.
Try to clear cache and reload page.
At "boej" all works...
Wait news and more feedback
regards
GF
Same problems for me, it's not working.
Re-installed a few times, switch'd off other plugins as well (maybe conflicting), tried opening in a fresh firefox (IE before), so it's also not a cache problem... still nothing.
Awaiting more feedback from GF.
Ok, I can check directly on Forum. If somebody have an online forum with Plugin installed and active, please let me knowns your forum address so I can check from my wordstation.
Thanks to all
GF
Here is a brand new one: grondstoffen.info/forum
BTW, the code is in there...
@try_again: Wondy, I found: you have an error (permission) on my-plugin folder:
<DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<TITLE>403 Forbidden</TITLE>
</HEAD><BODY>
<H1>Forbidden</H1>
You don't have permission to access /forum/my-plugins/bb-wysiwyg-editor/js/wysiwyg.js
on this server.<P>
</BODY></HTML>guess everybody has this error in his BBPress, because this is the standard
Thx for noticing...
The problem is that bbPress creates my-plugins and my-templates directories with 750 permissions, when they should be 755. This should be fixed in the next release.
So friends, we know the cause of the problem.
What is the solution? Can I change permissions myself? My web site is being hosted on a public hosting server.
Or shall we have to wait for new release?
Josef.
Hi g.fazioli and others:
My solution:
If you have the problem we talk about here, do this:
- delete plugin bb-wysiwyg-editor
- unzip the plugin again into my-plugins
- before you ever enter into bbpress, ensure that the folder bb-wysiwyg-editor and all underlying folders and files in them have permission 755 (after installing they do not)
- only then when you enter your bbpress the plugin will work correctly.
I am afraid g.fazioli that this is a fault in your plugin.
Ciao!
Josef
I am afraid g.fazioli that this is a fault in your plugin.
I take this back as it is premature verdict. I do not know which process does set the permissions of folders and files.
Sorry, g.fazioli.
Ciao, Josef
@Prause
Please chmod the plugin directory recursively (i.e. each folder and file in the plugin directory) to 755. Please check here for more info - http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
If you are using Filezilla, then right click the plugin folder, choose "File Permissions", write this in the Numeric value textbox - 755, check the option of "recurse into subdirectories" and ensure that "apply to all files and directories" option is checked. If 755 does not work, then try 777 (but don't let it remain, I am only saying this for debug purposes).
@gautamgupta:
Thank you, as you can see from the blockquote below, I did so yesterday:
