AdSense for bbPress allows you to input up to 10 different AdSense ads and have them displayed as posts in your forums. You can chose to display different ads at different posts (i.e. Leaderboard ad at post 1, half banner at ad 3, etc) or as a random post within any topic. You can even include an avatar and name so your ads look more like genuine forum posts.

  1. Why Ad show only registerer users? I want to show ad all, guest, registered users...

  2. I've fixed this issue (where sometimes Ads were only displayed to the admin). Ads are now displayed to everyone, even those who haven't logged in or registered (guests).

  3. Really like this plugin but everytime I configure it in the admin, it forgets the configuration. I'm not sure when the config gets wiped because it sticks around long enough for me to test it. Is there any way I can manually edit the config so it doesn't change? Thanks!

The author avatar image is not showing up for me. I have tried a number of paths, both relative and absolute and nothing works. Do i need to edit any code in the php file for this to work? The ads show up fine, just not the avatar to the left. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, that patch is not working. Could you explain how to place that code in the php file? When i tried to overwrite the other code, I get an error. Thanks

I'm using 1.01 and it's not working for me. It did work out of the box, and the author's Adsense information worked fine. As soon as I replaced it with my pub# (assuming that's all I have to replace), the ads stopped showing up.

  9. Anyone have this plugin working? If so, any suggestions to those that it's not working for?

  10. i've just installed it on my 1.01 works like a charm. Are you adding <?php bbad_ad_block(); ?> to the post.php?
    as the readme says, yoursite.com/forums/bb-templates/kakumei/post.php

    here's mine setup

I installed it and insert ads at post 2. The kakumei theme breaks down from post 4 or 5 onwards. The width expands to 100% of screen resolution. The adsense.php also carries your ad code with its own pub number. What is it for?

Trying various things but in Firefox and IE the thread breaks down one or two posts after the ads are displayed

  12. Ok I think I figured out how to resolve the theme break down issue. Although step 2 of the installation notes [http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/adsense-for-bbpress/installation/] indicate to add <?php bbad_ad_block(); ?> before <div class="threadauthor"> in the post.php file, it should actually be added before <div id="position-<?php post_position(); ?>">. It should literally be placed as the first line in the post.php file.

    Hi,

I have a problem with this plugin, I installed it correctly and it at the beginning appeared to work very well (including the adbot avatar and name feature).

However, every now and then it resets the configurations and all the fields I filled in the admin panel are empty. I have to manually enter again the configuration every now and then otherwise all the ads from my forum will disappear. This happens randomly and I think it's a serious bug on large forums: revenues will disappear as well if ads don't show.

Does anyone has a workaround for this issue?

    thanks

  16. It is working with v.1.02 - just add <?php bbad_ad_block(); ?> to post.php as suggested in the read me file.

The plugin is really fantastic, works with the latest versions of WP and BBpress (integrated) but suffers from the problem of forgetting ads and needs the patch from mohanjith to work. Not so techy people may be annoyed by that.

To help you all I updated the adsense.php code with the patch and put it online so you could install it correctly. I have put some instructions in the file as well to help you. All questions should go to the author not me.
