This plugin will generates Latest Discussion list from your bbpress forum into your wordpress. It has the ability to generate latest discussion on sidebar also.

The administrator can also set the behavior for this plugin. Even if your bbpress is not intergrated with your wordpress. U still can use this plugin with a little change on the option page.

  1. You have a typo in line 229 of the code. You have a / after the ?id=, which breaks the uri and sends the user to an error page. Thought you'd want to know.

  2. Fix the typo already. Can't see that comming since i not use normal url. Anyway thank's for the report.

  3. How do I get this to work with Widgets?

    Posted: 1 year ago #
  4. U need a widget enable theme and wordpress widget plugin. U can get it from http://automattic.com/code/widgets/

Goto presentation tab, Sidebar Widgets and u can see "BbLD Widget" inside Available Widgets

  5. "WordPress database error: [Table 'taiyo_wordpress.bb_forums' doesn't exist]
SELECT * FROM bb_forums ORDER BY forum_order ASC"

My Bbpress database is not the same as Wordpress database.
I enable the last option and the Bbpress DB User, Pass, Name & Host is ok but the plugin continues trying to use the Wordpress DB.

    bbPress Desmond 0.8.1 (taiyo_wordpress DB)
    WordPress 2.1.3 (taiyo_bbpress DB)

I'm getting slashes before quotes in titles. Is there a way to strip them out?

  12. I do displaying the "latest discussions" in my blog a little simpler. I use the RSS widget from WP and embed the feed of my forum this way. And it works well.

  13. I'm using the Display Names plugin for bbpress and also your bbpress latest discussion plugin. Is there a way to get the display names to show up in the author field of your plugin instead of the default login names?

    Thanks in advance!

  14. By default it should use display name. Try open option page and check "Intergrated with Wordpress" maybe that work

Is there a way to make this plugin with latin charset database? As it is it returns only garbage for special characters such as å , ä and ö.

Otherwise I applaud your plugin, thanx.

  18. Is there a way to change the title of the widget? I have a very narrow sidebar and would like to shorten the title so it fits better. Any ideas anyone?

  19. This is great! Thanks Atsutane. I'm going to be using it on my homepage (near future) at http://argentinastravel.com

@hans3 - I had to do this too. It's pretty easy if you just look into the code (line 205 or line 302); there's only one file.
