Great plugin, just one minor issue.

I'm trying to hide the complete forum to everyone, unless they are registered. Currently I only have 2 forms on my test site.

So...I've made this change to hidden-forums.php -

$hidden_forums['hidden_forums']=array(1,2); // hide these forums, list by comma seperated number

And that is working, but I'm getting this error message on the top of the site now -
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\xampp\htdocs\testSite\help-forum\bb-includes\functions.bb-forums.php on line 86

Any help??

Hi Butch123,
could you where the problem is, i cannot see any obvious problem on the front page of the forum. I would like to know more because I also have a problem which has to do with differences between frontpage and other pages.

Hi CK i have a problem about displaying image or html code as you could see there http://www.fmtux.net/wordpress/forum/. But i you go in a forum you could see the img and the html code works... How can i do for the front page ?

well, that kills the label from all forums to which a "private"-rule is applied. But that's exactly the opposite I want.

Hi, I'm new in bbpress and experience a little flaw with your plugin, which does almost everything need. To give the internal members of my group a visual feedback that they post into the private area i wanted to add a little bit of css code to line 30. I did this

$hidden_forums['label']="<span style=\"color:red\";>[Private] </span>";

which works perfect everywhere except the start page which displays the red label correctly on "Latest Discussions" but not on "Forums".

There it parses the source code wrong, by parsing the < > as "& lt ;" and "& gt ;" (omit empty spaces, i cannot imitate it here directly)

Am I correct in thinking , I could use this plugin to protect forums by "roles" (including custom created non-standard roles) my users have in my wp site?

When logged out, I see the heading "Add New Topic" and a sentence about logging in to post. I would prefer to see something relevant and friendly to visitors. I can't change the heading without changing the post-form also.

Any advice?

Otherwise, I'm liking the plug-in and grateful for it.

Awesome work, _ck_, as always.

That said, I'm having the same issue as the poster above, with the img code not working. It shows the path, not the image. The changes mentioned earlier in the thread appear to have already been implemented in the plugin, so I'm at a loss about what to do.

Did something change in 1.0.2 that would prevent the image from showing up? Do I need to use the absolutely file path or something? Does the image need to be in a specific folder to work?

Plugin works great but I tried to add an image for the label and it just displays the image path as text instead of actually showing the image...

Any ideas?

This Plugin seems to collide with the 'Related Topics' Plugin by _ck_ where it will list and link to topics from Hidden Forums in non-hidden areas.

To expand... What I am trying to do is parse the RSS feed from bbpress in my wordpress... which works beautifully, except it hides the hidden topics (understandable).

Perhaps a solution would be to have magpie (or whatever wordpress does) fetch the feed through the currently logged in user's cookies so that the feed sent to WP shows the hidden forums if that user is logged in... (I have them integrated ya-know).

Seems that if the feed is affected on by cookies (you can see it if you are logged in and directly link to it) and if magpie fetches this feed directly, it should be a "simple" case of making them talk...

Hmm -- now I have a question... this seems to exclude the forum from RSS feeds... which is good--- until you want that RSS feed, then its bad... ;)

I think there might be a way to code in a super-secret RSS feed hash that would allow only those "in the know" to be able to subscribe to it... anyone have any ideas?
