a quick FYI: the list buttons generate the "[li]" code, even though the "[list]" code is what's supported your BBcodeLite plugin. (so li does nothing when someone uses it)

It's possible to use the CC ability of the PHP mail routine if you need multiple emails.

Until I get a chance to add that feature, you can hack line 58 where it says

$from =  $to;

and make it say

Great to see how active you are with this, _ck_! It appears to me like I'm having the same issue as Greenleaves, but with no success. Both header and footer have the "<?php do_action('bb_head', ''); ?> and <?php do_action('bb_foot', ''); ?> lines respectively. Sadly no go for the buttons. I'm on a Mac as well, but running it with Firefox (same issue with Safari). Any thoughts?

version 0.0.1 is a very early alpha release

It does not have optimizations yet to only load the smilies on demand (via javascript) - but that will come soon. I'm releasing it based on requests and for additional feedback.

You can change the icons very easily to any set that's compatible with "More Smilies" (from the WordPress side) or make your own - just study how the default directory is done. Any of the icon folders in this package will easily work - just upload the set desired in the same place the "default" directory is and edit the line near the top of
bb-smilies.php
to reflect the new set name.

As always, admin menu coming later (much later).

I will have to investigate - might take some time as Opera does not have an easy way to figure out what's going on (but less than 2% of users browse with Opera).

No, no, don't hack the core. There is no need.
Very easy to add tags in bbpress via plugin.

The full plugin probably breaks code sections because it tries to do it's own bad tag encoding. You can try a more direct method instead.

<?php
/*
Plugin Name: Allow Images (mini-mod)
*/
add_filter( 'bb_allowed_tags', 'allow_img_tag' );
function allow_img_tag( $tags ) {$tags['img'] = array('src' => array(), 'title' => array(), 'alt' => array()); return $tags;}
?>

.
try that instead - note it makes no attempt to verify images

Another nice plugin, well done.

I want to suggest to you an optional concept I have been aiming for where plugins that are mostly admin code, only load that portion of themselves during the admin menu - to save the overall code size that bbPress has to load at runtime (conditional loading).

For example in this plugin, all the admin code could be loaded via an include when the constant BB_IS_ADMIN is detected (it's set when bb-admin.php is loaded, before plugins are loaded). Then the stub that actually enforces the bans could be left in the normal part of the plugin that loads all the time.

Just something to consider, not a "must" by any means.
(See my Mass-Edit plugin for an example of this concept)

I have the same problem as greenshady, basically the plugin breaks code placed within backticks. This is quite a big problem as allowing users to post code snippets is very important, see below :)

So, does anyone have any information about whether a fix is being worked on?

Note, it is possible to enable images by hacking bb-includes/formatting-functions.php, changing the following function:

function bb_allowed_tags() {
	$tags = array(
		'a' => array(
			'href' => array(),
			'title' => array(),
			'rel' => array()),
		'blockquote' => array('cite' => array()),
		'br' => array(),
		'code' => array(),
		'pre' => array(),
		'em' => array(),

		'ol' => array(),
		'li' => array()
	);
	return apply_filters( 'bb_allowed_tags', $tags );
}

To this:

function bb_allowed_tags() {
	$tags = array(
		'a' => array(
			'href' => array(),
			'title' => array(),
			'rel' => array()),
		'blockquote' => array('cite' => array()),
		'br' => array(),
		'code' => array(),
		'pre' => array(),
		'em' => array(),
		'img' => array(
                        'src' => array(),
                        'alt' => array()),
		'strong' => array(),
		'ul' => array(),
		'ol' => array(),
		'li' => array()
	);
	return apply_filters( 'bb_allowed_tags', $tags );
}

However, it is probably[?] not a wise idea to do so as I am pretty sure this will not provide any sanity checks -- meaning users could possibly use the image tag to call on malicious scripts etc.

Therefore, fixing this plugin would be a preferable option.

0.1.5 now adds the ability to do inline image attachments.

This feature is not finished yet but I know it's in demand so I'm making it available.

After uploading, an [INSERT] link will appear next to each attachment.

Currently, full html is inserted to display (and link) the image. I most likely will change this to a custom bbcode ie. [attachment=321] instead which is much cleaner.

A reduced sized image will be made if it's larger than the set limits (default 590 x 590). Eventually I will give the option for CSS frames (with scrollbars).

Yes, that would definitely make this plugin more viable. Integration of a human test and a name for each anonymous poster would be very useful.

"No, not a new forum, sorry, bad miscommunication.
Try using the "ADD NEW" on the front page of your site."

I tried that just now with version 1.1 of Forum is category and version 1.2. 1.1 didn't show the form, but 1.2 showed it. It's fixed now, anyway.
