What kind of server i need?

   Hello,
   I would like to convert my phpbb3 forum to bbpress.
   About 4000UU per day
   About 100users online in one moment.
   About 400 000 posts

   What kind of server i need?
   How much RAM memory?
   What kind of procesor?

   1.
   Intel Atom mono 1.60 Ghz L2: 512KB, FSB: 533MHz
   512 MB DDR 2

   is it enough?
   or?

   2. Intel Atom Dual 2x 1.6 Ghz L2: 2x 512KB, FSB: 533MHz
   1GB DDR2

   Go for the second, otherwise you have to move to a new one very soon.

   I guess the prices for the servers are not very different :)

   or take the first with more memory...

   You could get by with 1, but it'd be sluggish at peak times. Option 2 would suit you best in the long run.

   They are putting netbook cpus in servers now?
   That's kinda weird. They must be very slow.

   Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper and faster to use a VPS than a teeny tiny dedicated server?

   If i had a special "dedicated" server only for MySQL is 256MB Ram is enough for my forum??

   (200k topics, 100users online in one moment, 12k all users)

   Sorry for this questions, but i cant test it.
