Hi, i have a fresh install of WP3.6 and BP2.4

When i create a category or forum and add visibity to hidden or private, just after saving, the input change to public !

Don’t understand this issue.

I test to manually change post_satuts to hidden in the database, it’s works…

I have the same issue.

I’ve changed the post_status in the DB but this wont be ideal for my client should they ever want to create a new private forum. Does anyone know of a fix?

I’m having the same problem, no matter what I do, when I publish the view changes to public. My client is a technological maladroit, so having him change things manually is out of the question.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is a known issue on forum visibility, details are in ticket #2408 and a possible workaround is in this thread

How do I know which ID is the correct row to change the post_status on, if I wanted to use PMA as a workaround?
Assuming I wanted a given forum to be private, is that the value I’d set post_status to, once I identify the correct DB row?

Use the batch edit workaround to avoid PMA.
