   Can I upload pictures with bbpress? My blog there should be many visitors who'd like upload pics on a forum like a blog yaxia-online.com. thanks for your answer.

   Adding media to forum should be part of core. I can't imagine any forum without media these days and need to rely on plugin. Just saying.

   Right for the users who use it and best to give a good performing core for everyone's need. Like if you don't require something and its not in the core you gain some speed. If you need them, grab a plugin.

   Although its all not that easy with bbPress right now
