Upgraded to 0.9.0.4, can't login
-
- Posted 3 years ago #
I can't login as admin/keymaster after the upgrade. (I followed the upgrading instructions, deactivated all plugins before upgrade).
During the upgrade process, when it asked for the configuration information, I used the same information that was in my old bb-config file in the appropriate boxes.
Please help!

In case it matters, my WP and bbpress installations shared a database.

I am just going to try reinstalling. I tried registering a new user and the password sent did not work.

And, that did not work either. Still can't log in.

My bbpress shares a database with wordpress.
This was fine in 0.9.0.1. Is it a problem now?I checked the database, reset my password (which in fact still works perfectly on the blog side of things).
At least one user has logged in and posted to the bbpress forum, but I can't.But I can't login. I registered a new account, and the password did not work.

Can you log in to WordPress?
What version of WordPress?
Did you try flushing all your browser cookies? -

Whew! Clearing cookies did it. Thanks :-) I just upgraded to WP 2.71 also, should have mentioned that.

FYI, WP 2.7 and BB .9 aren't really compatible. Apparently some people have managed to make them work, but it involves a bit of work.

Ipstenu,
Thanks so much -- I am not expecting integration to _work_. That would be a bonus. :-p
But should I expect problems because the two programs are sharing a database?
I had to upgrade both versions for security reasons, but did not want to take the leap to the alpha.

Aha... 2.7.1 and 0.9.0.4: got them integrated (light integration: logins only), using _ck_'s guide here: http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/wordpress-and-bbpress-integration-101
and Ann's plugin: http://superann.com/2009/02/26/wordpress-26-27-bbpress-09-cookie-integration-plugin/
