   Sam invented this http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/plugin-browser-for-bbpress which is quite good (though I'm unsure if it's broken under 0.9) so I suspect we'll get plugin browsing/updating eventually. But I doubt it's a high priority right now as there is plenty else on his plate.
