I have created a site that has bbPress as its members only forum component with a user name and password login.

The last software I used had an option on each Forum to receive new forum posts and Topics via email amd/or RSS. bbPress , does not appear – to me – to have that option.

From what I am reading in these forums it is a much sort after feature but does not seem to get satisfactorily addressed.

What I then did was setup google feedburner to notify me daily of any changes to that feed so that I can go in and reply as needed. feedburner send these updates at around 3am, which isn’t great if your community is VERY active – but for my purposes this was fine

i presume you can find another rss –> email service that polls the site more frequently and notifies you much sooner….

this along the lines of what you need?
