I've installed my BBpress forum and it all seems to be working great with the exception of the RSS links which just go to a 404 page. I think this forum was doing the same thing last time I tried - does anyone have a fix?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. Do you have an example of the site where the RSS feeds are not working? Mine work fine, as do the ones on this forum, for me.

I am using Firefox 2.0.0.1. What browser is your trouble with?

I'm using IE6 on the PC. You're right this seems to work in Safari on the Mac. Any ideas on how to get this to work on IE6 or is this not possible?

  4. Short of the obvious stupid answer (upgrade or quit using IE :-) I think we need to test this out with more IE6 users. I think I have one old PC kicking around and will do some testing on this.

  5. Strange. I have XP service release 2 with newest version of IE6 (prior to having to upgrade to IE7) and can see my feeds and the ones of the forum.

What version of IE6 are you running and what URL?

I'm running IE6 with service pack 2 also. Not sure why it would be blocking me. The forums RSS links here don't work for me. When you click on the RSS link it gives the address of feed:http://bbpress.org/forums/rss/topic/571 - should it be dropping the http://?

Just noticed that your link in the post works but if you click on 'RSS feed for this topic' at the bottom of the page it doesn't.

  8. Oh yeah......old browsers don't know enough to drop feed: before the URL. It works better if you only use the URL of feed without it!
