Private forum?

   Everything is said in the title. :) I don't see this option in the current version. Is it a future feature, or must it be done via a plug-in?

   ditto... hopefully forum specific, with a "select/apply to all" to make the whole board private.

   I do need this too. But I don't want it private for the whole board.
   I want one sector available for all to read and post.
   I want another sector available for all to read but only certain people to post.
   I want another sector availabe for all certain people to read and post.

   I guess this is where the user type comes in to solve some of my problems. What are the definitions to the user types?

   But as for the other problem of having a forum designated as private, for now, I will have to create multi-bbpress boards.

   Adding my support... in my old phpBB board i had a section called 'ftl/n' (for the lose, or no?) section that I encouraged people to take their flame wars/immaturity to that only registered users could see (so guests didn't have to see threads descend into madness) and I'd like to be able to get that feature back.

    It would be cool to be able to restrict view/write access to threads. That way Mods/Admin could have their own threads to discuss things.
