Plugin Browser fixed to be compatible with bbPress 1.0

  1. I just made the Plugin Browser for bbPress By Sam Bauers compatible with bbPress 1.0 & later :-)

It now correctly recognizes the current version of the plugin stored on your forums, also tells you to upgrade if necessary, and can uninstall plugins already installed or install which are not installed.

I have also done the following changes:

    • The directory folder of a plugin need not have pb-- in its name, nor have a pb--revision.php
    • GET methods changed to POST.

    Notes:

    • Plugins installed by the previous version of this plugin, cannot be upgraded or uninstalled. You can, however remove pb-- from their name via ftp and then upgrade or uninstall.
    • It does not recognize the plugins bundled with bbPress like Akismet, Bozo, etc. (This functionality wasn't there before too).

You can download it from here: http://gaut.am/uploads/plugin-browser-for-bbpress.zip
If you liked it, then you can donate here - http://gaut.am/donate/

    Thanks :)

  2. Looks great awesome work! Thanks for your help with this, it makes managing bbpress so much easier.

  3. Thanks :-)

  4. For some reason, the plugin folder that the browser creates in my FTP are read only, and so are their contents.

    Why is this?

  5. I mean, all the plugin pb-- folders with plugins downloaded via the browser.

  6. @pikatore
This fix is for 1.0, if you are using 9.0.6, then use the original plugin.
This fix doesn't create directories with pb-- in their name.

  7. i've always had 1.0, but it is still creating read only directories in ftp! and i can't delete or modify them in ftp with the domain name account!

  8. The only issue I'm having is it doesn't install the subfolders. That is the issue I had with your after-dark plugin. That it only installed the initial folder and files.

  9. Try the original Plugin Browser Plugin, I had fixed it.

  10. I'm using version 0.2 and it doesn't the folders inside any plugins.
