It seems that latest version is not working for me because I want to integrate it with old version of WordPress.
Can I get a old version of BBPress? like in wordpress.org

The 0.9.x branch has been around for a lot longer. 1.0 hasn't been out for that long, and the primary developer hasn't been around to root out and/or patch any security issues.
I'm not saying that 1.0 is insecure - just that there's nothing inherent about 1.0 that makes it more secure cuz it's more recent. :-)

Additionally confusing is that 0.9.* and 1.0.* are basically different branches. 1.0.* is not necessarily an improvement of what is in 0.9.*. It's totally different.
