New forum layout

    I've made a few long overdue adjustments to the layout on this site. There are still some bits that could be better, but I only wanted to alleviate some of the long standing complaints people had about the layout. I'm planning a more thorough overhaul as we approach bbPress 1.0

    You'll notice I've turned on Gravatars, if you want to add or change your Gravatar then you need to do so through http://gravatar.com/

    I'm also trying on a new logo to see how it fits (top left corner), it's closely modelled on the current WordPress logo and is designed to compliment it better than the old logo.

    All feedback welcome.

    Much better so far! The width was a major issue and it's good to see gravatars again! :)

    How about the spacing after a code block?

    10 PRINT "HELLO WORLD"
    20 GOTO 10

    How much space is there above this line, after the code block?`

    If a guy wanted to try and go for the gold and make the new official bbPress.org theme, who would he talk to about such things? :)

    The new theme should match the WordPress.org theme but in dark greens so we have a common identity.

    I don't think the the BB in bbPress should ever be small caps. Always lowercase. Looks better.

    I wonder if there is a WordPress.org theme make-over in the works to celebrate the new admin panel?

    Hold down shift and refresh. WHAM it's wide screen (I thought I was loosing my mind yesterday).

    Looks worse this way, IMO. I like the little bb. Is bbPress a trademark like WordPress is (capitalization included)? If so, then there's no question. It needs to be little bb.

    I believe it's not a registered trademark. The small caps style is to match WordPress. I'm going to have to consult with Matt Thomas (Automattic Designer) at some stage.

    Reverted to the old logo for now while I get some advice on it from MT. All your comments on the logo have been taken onboard, so thanks.

    I liked it with the circle, just not the small caps. It always looks better as bbPress whenever it's written.

    I checked the USPTO online and found the WordPress word mark but not one for bbPress. Maybe Automattic should register that.

    I can't even read that badge, are my eyes getting that bad?

    I am really partial to the old logo with the softer letters and lowercase 'bb'.

    The bb image was really small on mine, I like that third one, but yeah, when you're shooting for 80x15, it's hard to get something CLEAR :)

    I'm partial to without the break, if there's no color change.

    Back to this theme, there's something wonky with how the code markup shows apostrophes ...

    ' is not the same as '
