They are marked with a deleted status but not truly deleted. If you want to delete them forever, you want to do something like this:

Call me crazy, but the the ability to permanently delete topics and posts needs to be built into the core. Heck, this would go great with WP 2.9′s trash can concept.

that post gave a plugin ,but the plugin just delete contents on “post” table, not delete the contents on “topic” table.
I’m lost. In WordPress one can delete posts. This makes very little sense.
