   2. Allow Spam Through.

   Today, every post on my RSS feed was spam.
   Can someone remind me again why the moderaters can't "bozo" or ban these folks?

   Emails to the Wizard of Oz have had no response from behind the curtain...

   I adapted an older plugin for use on punBB/fluxBB. Those forums have a report function, I made it so that after x reports the post got automatically hidden until reviewed by a moderator.

   I'll probably write a similar plugin for the bbPress plugin when it is released, as I have found it particularly useful along with the other restrictions that it also included:
   - ability to limit new posts to x characters
   - ability to limit new posters to x links

   and a a few other things. Admittedly it wouldn't have helped with the recent spam, for that I blame akismet ;)

   You know what's really sad: there are dozens of posts from these members already caught by Akismet (I suspect) as spam. So, why do some still get through?

   if number of spam posts by user is greater than x, then auto bozo time.
