I've created the 'my-plugins' directoty and uploaded my akismet.php script to it.
I get: Call to undefined function: get_option() which means I haven't got the include files referenced I guess.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I can see the functions in my include files but I don't want to just hack at it.

Unless I am missing something, doesn't it automatically work with Akismet without any additional files? All you need to do is edit your config.php file (already a section for akismet) and place in your API key. If I am missing something here, please someone tell me because I didn't upload any additional files either.....

I figured it out....Akismet is already in bb-includes right?
Akismet is already package inside your bbpress. You only need to put akismet api key inside your bbpress config.php
