I was, but I think bbpress may be a better option because it shares the databases and its pretty lightweight (I know deep integrating it will slow it down a little but I dont think it will be bad)
Can you help me deep integrate bbpress with wordpress? I really want help. -

Hi th3realj0k,
I suppose the first thing I'd say is that WordPress3 is in beta, (and we're on beta2, so beta1's a bad idea), so I don't think there are many people out here with experience in deeply integrating to it.
Second, it's probably best to identify WHY you need deep integration. It's not an intended use of the product, and therefore it's very much word of mouth on getting it to work (and even then it doesn't work completely).
Let us know what the deciding factor in requiring "deep integration" is and we'll see if we can help :)

I appreciate your response, I plan on doing deep integration to make my bbpress forums to match the wordpress blog, I know it isn't it's intended purpose but I would really like for my wordpress and bbpress to be integrated. I know beta 1 inst the latest version and Ive been meaning to update but Ive been busy with school work being the last month of school :P I'll go ahead and update it now - do you think you could help me with this?

Doing "Deep Integration" doesn't make that happen. That's actually why we ask, i wasn't just being difficult :)
If you want your bbPress forum to look like your WordPress blog then you should theme them to look that way. That requires making a bbPress theme, downloading a free one, or buying one.
On the plus side, 80% of the work can be lifted straight from your WordPress theme :)

Hi th3realj0k,
I'm not sure what you're asking for:
1) If it's on how to deeply integrate bbPress and WordPress, there's loads of good examples on this forum or by googling "bbpress wordpress deep integration".
2) If it's to theme your forum to match your website, I'm afraid thats not something we can overly help with here, other than saying to look at the default theme and copy that. If you've themed your WordPress site then it won't be that different.
Good Luck

th3realj0k, you might want to consider hiring someone to get this working for you. If you post your contact information, I will close this topic.

I cant hire someone, I only have enough to keep my site running - i'm a high school student, so that isn't an option for me.

Ryan had made a WordPress and bbPress theme integrator, so you may give it a try - http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/wordpress-theme-integrator-plugin-alpha-launch

th3realj0k, I do that stuff. wpbbpthemes.org
I know how to use wordpress-theme-integrator-plugin as well as deep integration. You can email me and I can do a basic layout for you gerikg #gmail.com

Gerikg I sent you an e-mail via gmail, tell me if you get it. And Gautam - I was well aware of this plugin but honestly... I don't know how to use it and no one on pixopoint forums would help me without buying premium support
