Forum under attack, user-approval plugin won't work

    my forum is attacked by few hundred haters from other forum under the same username.

    I downloaded user-approval plugin but it won;t work. it mess up the config and everybody can;t log in.

    any help?

    You can mass delete the posts using this Mass Edit plugin:
    http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/mass-edit/

    This is also useful - it lets you put certain IPs into a blocklist:
    http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/blocklist/

    Maybe it is interessting but we have just modified the moderator new post modification plugin (http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/moderator-new-post-notification/) a little for the very same reason so we can moderate the first posts of new members. Those are now set to spam automatically and then can be reviewed first. It works together with the Akismet plugin for the moderation naturally.

    Wouldnt reccomend either Akismet nor Mass Delete plugin.

    Marius your previous bad experience with mass delete may have been caused by failing to do a full recount in admin after deleting many posts.

    The plugin caused readability problems. A fix was never provided. I followed the advice to stop using it. Has it been updated?

    I just had a look at topicstarters forum. THis is a kid who wants to spam the board. Just bozo him. Built in plugin.
