Hello,
I would like my avatar to stand under the name.. So I did it but now my "avatar + name" - div is longer/shorter then my text div.. I already tried to put the two div's in a table width=100% but that doesn't seem to work..ps. if you don't understand what I mean, it's like in phpBB
thanks!

I suggest giving your post div an appropriate
min-height. It's easiest and most elegant. Forget tables. -

but if I do that and the message is longer... then the avatar + name of the next message come higher and in the lines of the message...

I don't know what you mean. Have you got a link or page output to look at?

Looks good to me, FF & IE7. User details always at height of post. You could probably get away with a min-height of 100px; that'd reduce the big empty posts.
