To fit in with the surrounding theme the topic replies should really use the regular font for the theme, just like the first topic post, in the case of Twenty Ten, that would mean the same sans-serif font-family as regular blog post content.
In the same way, the (correctly) sans-serif interface parts of the forum pages should also re-use the corresponding font-family values from Twenty Ten.
