thanks for your post - your hint (phpMyAdmin) was great!

Cookie-Integration works perfekt after the update to Version 1.0-rc-3 and a few changes in phpMyAdmin - without the bbPress integration plugin.

My solution, for a WordPress in the root and bbPress in a folder:

1) I don't use the bbPress integration plugin for WordPress
2) Default wp-config and bb-config
3) Simply put AUTH_KEY, SECURE_AUTH_KEY, LOGGED_IN_KEY in the two config file (and double check that it's the same)
4) Go to good ol phpMyAdmin and check that:
in bb_meta: in wp_options:
bb_auth_salt = auth_salt
bb_logged_in_salt = logged_in_salt
bb_nonce_salt = nonce_salt

wp-config.php file:

define( 'AUTH_KEY', 'mathes BB-config key');
define( 'SECURE_AUTH_KEY', 'mathes BB-config key');
define( 'LOGGED_IN_KEY', 'mathes BB-config key');
define( 'NONCE_KEY', 'mathes BB-config key');

Having the same problem here: I can´t login to bbpress & wordpress at the same time. I´m using wp 2.8, bbpress 1.0 rc3 and the bbpress integration plugin 1.0-rc-3

change the cookie key, delete your cookie and try again the login.

I removed passwords and host names for obvious reason...

Same old Same Old... I assume the integration is meant to work so that a user could conceivably login to the website, and then move to the bbforum without having to log back in. It's one thing to be unable to access admin privileges without logging in but if users have to log in multiple times, they will be gone in a hurry I think!

I will watch carefully for updates as I know Sam was talking about tweaking the integration plugin. Thanks for your help and patience.

Within the process it does give the "cookiedomain" instructions - THANKS!. Unfortunately my login problems continue. I can now login to both but only into one dashboard at a time. Also, I have to delete cookies everytime I log out of one and try to get into the other...

I was facing the same problem here, but I could solve it. Basically, I put this on wp-config.php:

I'm running a test installation. Main WordPress is in a directory (/teste), and bbPress is a sub-directory (/teste/bbpress). Right now, it's working fine.

I have the same trouble. WP is installed under a folder of the site (www.site.com/folder), and BBP under a sub-folder (www.site.com/folder/forum)

Nothing changes with the last file found in the trunk. Same trouble.

Also, I installed Community User and I was wondering if there was a way to have the profiles on BBp match those produced by Community User? The CU profiles display great within WP.

Is this WPMU? If not remove the dot at the start of both domains.

If you are using WPMU you might need to sit tight while I troubleshoot that one.

i've downloaded the latest trunk at the mooment is rev # 2192, updated my installation.

bb-config side i've $bb->cookiedomain = '.www.site.com'; (i've tested without www but nothing change...)

in wp-config i've deleted
define('COOKIEHASH', 'whatever');
define('SITECOOKIEPATH', '/wp-admin');

so i'm

The plugin will be updated soon, but remove those if you are running WordPress standard (i.e. Non-WPMU)

Seriously, my life is wasting away chasing WordPress cookies.

I just realized this topic was for WP2.8, and I'm talking about WPMU2.7.1.

I'll have a new plugin out soon. When you upgrade the plugin, you will need to remove the settings it previously instructed you to use in wp-config.php and then check the admin page in WordPress for the new settings to use.
