In the second section, instead of
wp-load.php
, do it with
bb-load.ph
p and come back with results.

I have recently discovered that new users at my bbpress forum
fail to receive their welcome email with their password.

BBpress version 1.0.2 integrated with WordPress version 2.9.2

I thought it might be the New User Email Setup , http://www.epicalex.com/new-user-email-set-up/ plugin installed in my WP, but deactivating it didn't fix the issue.

Any tips on where to start looking for a solution would be much appreciated.

I was hoping someone could do it for me.

Well there's your problem right there :)

Making a theme is easy AND it won't break the source code or become beyond repair. A theme is all HTML and CSS, with a little PHP tossed in, and not the coding kind of PHP where you have to make SQL calls. Unless you want to, of course.

Go to http://bbpress.org/documentation/themes/ for the basics. You'll need this under your belt if you ever hope to maintain a forum without going nuts.

I dunno how lol. I was hoping someone could do it for me.
This is one of them things that if I start mixing stuff, it will fuck up the entire source and become unable to repair.

Is this possible?
When a new potential user browses the forum, he sees my button to "Add new" thread. He presses it, and it takes him to the login form. He has no username, so he must register. But the link to register is so fucking small and hidden up in the corner. Can the register form be included on the bottom of the login form, as an alternative?

I believe I sorted out my issue. By not setting my timezone correctly (or at all) it got confused. I assume it looked at the time stamp on some of the posts as being in the future and just defaulted to -1 year as a result. Cleaning this up seems to have fixed up my stats as well.

I just found and installed bbPress today. I was surprised at how well it went. Now I am familiarizing myself with it currently I have two oddities that I do not understand. I tried looking at the docs but they seem limited at the time. Please feel free to direct me if I am mistaken.

1) users registered for -1 year. both of my users registered today have this. Seems odd. I can't find anywhere to manipulate this

2) weird stats. Below is what it says in my dashboard
* Posts per day: 44.132
* Topics per day: 11.033
* Registrations per day: 22.066
* Forums started 2 hours ago.
I tried doing a post recount thinking it may reset this.

any ideas?
thanks
