Hi there forum!

Thanks for the extensive help last time.

My new issue is that i have translated bbPress to danish (the frontend stuff). And a single word cannot be found in the language file, so it is still in english. I want to know how to change this single word (ago) to danish. I already changed the

%s ago

%s siden

But it does not work.

As you can see it is translated from "days" to "dage". And then the english word "ago" comes in, wich should have been "siden".

Can you help me, please? D:

How about you change after the page load using js - Google Translate API? :)

Thanks for the reply Ashfame. I'll look into it but the best way of doing it in my case is with some kind of link in the header so the user have the option of switching language when entering the forum. Maybe somebody else knows?

Well you can let the user choose one for their account by hooking into the language filter if the need be, after checking the user preference.
Not sure how you can change that on-the-fly with a link.

Hello guys!
Im running bbPress 1.0.2 and I've changed the default language to Swedish, like this:

define( 'BB_LANG', 'sv_SE' );

And a folder "my-languages" with the .mo/.po-files in bbPress root. Working excellent.

I'm wondering if it's possible to switch between Swedish and English with a front-end link? So the user him-/herself can change to preferred language.

Edit: This would be obvious but just to clarify - Don't mind the language of the topics/posts. The topics are set in respectively language. I'm just looking for a way to translate the static text.

DO NOT INSTALL THEMES FROM THAT SITE

THEY ARE ALL INFECTED WITH A SPAM LINK (in header.php)

They copied all my carefully collected (and slightly modified) themes from bbShowcase, edited them all and are presenting it like they did all the work.

my-templates is where you put any templates that you add. Chances are the permissions are 750 instead of 755. They were being created with the wrong permissions for a while but that issue is fixed in trunk now. Check the permissions with a shell or FTP program and make the directory permissions 755 and it will work.

I was wondering the same thing Steepstone. I uploaded a template to my-templates and it would not install properly. Then I loaded it to bb-templates and worked like a charm. Anyone have any ideas what the purpose of the my-templates folder is for?

Thanks, it is still in progress. No members yet. There is a disclaimer, though. I did not make a Nl_nl file or something. But, everything is translated, except for the "manager". I also translated it, but I must have made a mistake somewhere because I got an error. So you will have a Dutch site/forum with an English "manager". Is this ok?

Hi, I tried again. This time I uploaded the team inside bb-templates - and it works just fine.
Why am I supposed to put themes in folder named "my-templates"?

I think Prutser should update his page. Language files are now being put in /my-languages/

You have to create that folder.

Also it's a good idea to download Poedit and also download his .po file. Translated words as "moddereter" doesn't sound so nice :$
