@radi_v Take a look at this https://github.com/nosecreek/Posts-to-bbPress
It is doing ‘Converts WordPress posts and comments to bbPress topics and replies.’
I haven’t looked closely at the code yet (possibility including this to the bbPress core ‘import tool’) though you may be able to tweak it to only do ‘comments’ to ‘replies’.
- Backup your site and all your databases often during all these steps in case any step along the way you can revert back to a working site
- Upgrade your bbPress 1.1alpha to the final 1.1 release http://bbpress.org/download/legacy/ http://codex.bbpress.org/legacy/updating/
- Install bbPress 2.2x plugin to WordPress http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpress/
- Run the bbPress 2.x Tool ‘Import Forums’ to import your old forums http://codex.bbpress.org/import-forums/You wern’t using your wordpress.COM by any chance were you?
It should be the same as your user/pass for here at bbpress.org (Same as wordpress.org)
If no luck try resetting your password which might force everything to update for bbpress/wordpress.org sites.
It is also in the codex http://codex.bbpress.org/bbpress-in-your-language/
This.
Indeed, I have pimped it up a level… http://bbpress.org/about/examples/
I haven’t got a fix for you though hopefully @jjj can do some magic.
The issue relates to how your user profiles /users/admin/ are including ‘recent topics’ on that same page rather than the default bbPress /users/admin/topics/, thus if you go to /users/admin/topics/page/2/ everything is perfect.
In your custom template file user-details.php you have added lines 16-33 but this is causing bbPress to generate the pagination links for the current /user/admin/ URL.
I know I have found the problem, but a solution, nope, I’m stuck, my PHP skills are not quite there yet
References: Changeset 4322 and /includes/topics/template-tags.php#242 bbp_is_single_user_topics pretty permalinks.
Your site is awesome to say the least and I see you have pimped it…
Activate bbPress first, then follow Pagelines docs for their plugin <a href=”http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/How_to_Use_the_bbPress_for_PageLines_Plugin”>here, also make sure you have the latest version of their plugin for bbPress 2.2 compatibilty.
Can you please create a new ticket in the bug tracker detailing your request please.
The default bbPress breadcrumb behaviour is the same behaviour that you are looking for, that’s presuming you are using the default ‘forums’ as the forum prefix in bbPress settings.
I personally haven’t used Yoast breadcrumbs plugin but if you want to continue using it I’d suggest you head over to Yoast’s support for the plugin and ask what options you have.
Try creating a page and use the [bbp-register] shortcode or use a login widget in a sidebar.
The process is still the same, I just updated the page you mention and it was only a minor modification for the default template location in bbPress 2.2.
How about giving our ‘Get Started with bbPress’ document a go?
http://codex.bbpress.org/getting-started-with-bbpress/
If you have any problems following this let us know and we will try to improve it.
Create a new WordPress page and pick and choose some shortcodes from the following URL and add them to that page… http://codex.bbpress.org/shortcodes/
If I get a change today i’ll try to update http://codex.bbpress.org/bbpress-user-roles-and-capabilities/
That said though if anyone else wants to update it before I get a chance feel free to do so, if you have a bbpress.org username and pass you can edit the codex docs yourself. There are quite a few updates needed for 2.2 in the codex docs and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just click ‘login’ at the top right of the page using the same bbPress username & password you use here at bbpress.org and edit away.
I kind of follow what you are asking but in no way can I offer you a solution sadly (I wish I could but alas I am still learning).
I hope this article can may help in the direction you want to go though with custom queries and bbPress.
bbPress does not currently support subscribing by email for anonymous users and as you point out there are no plugins (as at the time this posted) to perform this task either.
You have a couple of options: Write a plugin yourself, get someone else to write the plugin for you or submit a ‘feature request’ at http://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ explaining in detail the feature you want to see in future versions of bbPress.
Add the [bbp-topic-index] shortcode to your page.
You are using the ‘OneAll Social Login’ plugin to register users rather than the bbPress (WordPress) process and I would suspect that any errors related to incorrect username/password issues would be related to how this plugin is registering users with WordPress rather than this being a bbPress issue.
Try asking your question in the plugin support at http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/oa-social-login and that may also sort out why users are not receiving the activation email also.
Unsticking with the freshly pressed bbPress 2.2 now out the door with the improved BuddyPress Group Forums integration.
Please keep only one thread per topic, closing as dupe

Sorry, my bad, try resetting your permalinks.
I can see the 3 topics you currently have fine…
@robotcake Try running the ‘Repair Forums’ tool http://codex.bbpress.org/repair-forums/
Hang of for a day or two, the ‘default’ theme in bbPress 2.2 uses lists and will be released very soon.
